DR. CLIVE A. PORTER SR. CEO, FOUNDER, VISIONARY

Dr. Clive A. Porter, Sr. is a Pastor, visionary, civic leader, author, conference speaker, prolific teacher and counselor. As an anointed and humble servant of God, having a true shepherd’s heart, he is often referred to as a “closet intellectual” due to his unassuming look and his masterful ability to dissect and present the word of God. He was born in Hanover, Jamaica, and is a graduate of the Bethel Bible College located in Mandeville, Jamaica.

Dr. Porter began fulfilling his call to ministry in 1977, where as an Evangelist many souls were won for the Lord through his preaching. He began his pastoral ministry in 1982 and pastored a total of six (6) churches while residing in Jamaica. In September of 1990, after migrating to the United States of America, he founded the Ebenezer New Testament Church of God in St. Petersburg, FL, which he pastored for 12 years. In July of 2002, he was appointed Senior Pastor to The Greater Fort Lauderdale New Testament Church of God in Fort Lauderdale, FL, now known as the Christian Community Church of God, where he served faithfully for 10 years. In July of 2006, he received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from the International Theological Seminary of California.

In February of 2013, Dr. Porter founded Victory Place International Worship Center, in obedience to the call to implement the vision given to him by God. His aim is to have a multi-cultural Church under the motto “Interacting For Fellowship – Mixing To Become One.” The ministry focus of Victory Place International Worship Center is to: Honor God, Celebrate People, Change Lives and Impact the World.

Dr. Porter has also served as: District Overseer for the East Broward District Churches of God, Florida-Cocoa Office, Regional Overseer for the Southern District Churches of God, Florida-Cocoa Office; Member of the State Executive Council of Bishops for the Church of God, Florida-Cocoa Office; Board member of the International Department of Evangelism for the Church of God International Offices in Cleveland, Tennessee. Additionally, he served as Vice President of the St. Petersburg International Folk Fair Society and Chairman of the Pauline Salmon Preparatory School.

As the founder and President of the Lifeline Training Institute, he strives to assist ministers, church leaders and members in the fulfillment of their God-given call, talent and vision. He is also the founder and president of Clive A. Porter Ministries, through which he pioneers and directs such ministries as “Leading Leaders to Excellence” -a Leadership Training program; “Men of Vision” – a program geared to the development of men within the church to the realization of their God assigned role as leaders in the home, church and community; and WUSSH – “Women United for the Salvation of Sons and Husband.”

Dr. Porter is recognized for his dynamic preaching and leadership style and for his passionate love for the Lord, His work and His people. He is a sought after conference speaker and maintains an extensive schedule of counseling sessions, seminars and speaking engagements in Europe, Africa, Canada, the Caribbean and throughout the United States. He also counsels extensively with families within and outside of his congregation, helping them to tackle their common problems and providing them with sound practical advice. He aims to “Build Strong Churches by Strengthening Weak Families.”

He is married to First Lady, Dr. Sharon Porter and has three children, Daniel, Clive Jr. and Shantoneé.
