DISCIPLES OF GOD MINISTRY (DOGM)

mens ministry.jpg

The Disciples of God Ministry is geared to the development of Christian men within and without our ministry fraternity. It is structured towards the spiritual development and maturity of the men in our homes and churches with an eye on reaching the world with a level of Christian influence capable of exacting change in our homes and social and spiritual spheres.

DOGM seeks not only to address the spiritual/evangelistic needs of our men but also helping to create and foster a healthy social environment in their ministry and everyday life. The goal is to train and develop our men into accepting their God-given role as the priests of their homes, shepherding their families as unto a small church and influencing them into the fellowship and support of the greater fellowship, the church or body of believers.

WOMEN’S CONNECTION

The mission of the women’s ministry group is to “Provide spiritually based information, which inspires, renews, and enhances the lives of women to honor God, celebrate each other, change lives and impact the world”.

VPI has a vibrant women’s ministry, which is led by First Lady, Dr. Sharon Porter. The primary goals of the ministry are (1) Connect women to women through outreach, fellowship, and ministry. (2) Discover the strength and healing that is available through the Word of God. (3) Develop Christ-like character, discipline, and relationships at home, work, church, and in the community. (4) Develop and organize a ministry, which will speak to the particular needs, issues, and concerns of all women at various stages in their lives (5) Identify and foster the God-given gifts and talents of all women in the ministry.

The group meets at least once per month to connect, celebrate and fellowship in a fun atmosphere. During these meetings, each woman will experience her true worth as she participates, shares and plans with a group to host various events. The group utilizes scripture to encourage, nurture, and disciple women to become enthusiastic disciples of Jesus Christ, as we each become the woman that God created each of us to be. In addition, we promote spiritual growth, a personal relationship with God, loving relationships with one another, and advance the goal of family, church and community. We also strive to complement each ministry and support the vision of the church.

YOUTH AND CHILDREN

The realignment movement is VPI’s youth ministry. This ministry is geared towards grooming the youth’s mind, body, and soul to function in the 20th century as modern-day Ruth’s, Joshua’s, Moses’, Daniel and Esther’s. It is no secret that living in the 21st century as a Christian has become increasingly difficult for young people and those young in the faith. On that premise the realignment movement was formed to help these youngsters navigate their way through life with a strong spiritual foundation and a good support group of leaders and like-minded youngsters. The group meets weekly to talk about life as it continues to evolve as well as how the Bible can relate to their current situations. These meetings cater to their spiritual needs through Bible studies, their emotional needs through counseling sessions with licensed psychologist, their educational needs with tutors and college prep sessions and last but by no means least their social needs through games and competitions that foster good Godly friendships.

We continue to seek God for guidance as we Honor God as 21st generation youth, Celebrate People by supporting each other’s dreams and visions, Change Lives through one song, one poem, one spoken word, or one game at a time, and Impact the World through exemplifying WWJD (What would Jesus do.)

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

The Christian Education Department (CED) of VPI is governed by the philosophy that learning should be active and not passive. We employ a student-centered approach to learning and believe that students should be taught so they can represent their calling well. Our biblical reference is 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

CED is geared towards educating and developing children and adults for spiritual growth, to become leaders, build relationships while equipping them for evangelism, worship and discipleship and to become active members of the body of Christ, which is the ultimate Great Commission.

The CED consists of:

Discipleship and Wellness (Sunday School): Classes are broken down according to age group: Pre-K (3-5); Primary (6-10); Middle (11-14); Intermediate (15-17); Young Adult (18-25); Adult (over 25).

Vacation Bible School:  Takes place during the Summertime. The duration is a week and is usually in the evenings to capture full participation from the different age groups.

New Members/Converts class: Caters to new members and or new converts to the church.

The CED acts as a resource to the various teaching ministries of the church.

MUSIC MINISTRY

Music soothes; Music inspires; Music requires thought and attention; Music requires special skills; Music requires time; Music requires great passion; Music requires humility; Music requires innovation; Music requires of us that we become cognizant of the fact that God created music and that He wants true representation of Him here on earth through music! In light of this, the Levitical Arts Ministry at VPI is mindful of the fact that we are now in a season, set with a mandate to lead congregants in worship, globally. We are a thriving group that seeks to improve daily on what we present to our church and public-at-large. Our goal is to be a blessing to someone whenever we are on the stage, realizing that it's not about us, but what God has placed within us, individually and collectively.

Our choir, which has been giving scintillating performances, has improved immensely, and for that, we are super proud!! God has truly blessed us with dedicated choristers who are always more than willing to minister for Him. Our aim is to make this Music ministry one to be reckoned with and God gets all the praise. Glory and Honor be unto Him!

 MINISTRY (SMALL) GROUPS

small group ministry.jpg

Victory Place International Worship Center prides itself on its tenants to: “Honor God, Celebrate People, Change Lives and Impact the World.” In doing so small groups were created to reach out and touch the lives of each partner and those in their community. With this in mind, formation of groups are within the communities. The groups are designed with 3 objectives:

number-1.png

To meet the spiritual needs (Bible study)

Social needs (activities)

number-3.png

Ensuring that no one is left behind.

This ensures that each group leader has their fingers on the pulse of each partner, so they feel a part of the larger VPI community and are enjoying the VPI experience. Currently there are six active groups.

The current groups encompass several cities combined:
